DRIVING MISS DIVA AND TUESDAY DRIZZLE 'N SIZZLE
Woof, Kids!
The Diva-Dog is a most excellent co-pilot whilst running amok 'round town with the peeps. What? Didn't know I could drive, did ya? Well, prolly COULD if I wanted. I have skills. However, I am of the opinion that a genuine Diva should be driven. Uh-huh. That aside, believe me, my two need all the help they can get, in all things. Now, now...don't get your fur in a fluff...it's not as dangerous as it looks, the jalopy is in park in this snap, 'kay?
Hounds, The Mool needs assistance with more than driving. An example? Well, grocery shopping. Cooking? She digs. Shopping in a crowded grocery? Fear and loathing. Okay, just the loathing, but I thought throwing in the word fear sounded dramatic and you know how I love drama.
So, helping out tossing things like cranberries, turkey and wine into the cart is a-okay with Moolie. Hold on. Correction...she's good selecting and tossing the wine boxes into the cart. KIDDING about the boxes, but don't even get us started on wine selections. Please.
Ever see a little film entitled, Bottle Shock? It's all about French and California wines and a certain competition back in the seventies. Changed the climate of the wine culture, just a little bit. Okay, majorly and for-EVAH. Kids, we also loathe snobs of any nature, most especially wine snobs...we've run across quite a few in our time and it's SUPER boring to be around. We know, you've heard it before, but getting your tail in a fluff over squeezed grapes gives us a royal pain in our Opus Azzes. Come ON, if it suits your palette, even if it comes from Idaho...we say a sizzling salud to it...screw the price or origin.
Rumor has it that it is gonna be raining and cooler (Florida-style cooler) on Thursday, so we think watching the water cascade from the terrace and sipping some sort of wine while shaking and baking is just the ticket.
Monday afternoon saw the skies turn to gray with tiny drops drizzling over our neck-of-the-palms. It was lovely to watch and hear so we just relaxed with a hot cup of Java and thought more on that Thanksgiving list. Thanks for making some contributions, you hounds. You the DAWGS!!
Now, more thankful, you ready? Just humor me...I can get sappy and silly from time to time!
Read on...Thankful (some serious, some not so much)...
...for enjoying and being a part of the simple things in life and KNOWING they are the most important...impossible to name them, but you know what we're talking about.
...for my mother's recipe for chocolate pie, cornbread dressing, minute fudge frosting...many, many more.
...for the sale rack at DSW (shallow, I know).
...for Haagen Dazs ice cream.
...for Happy Hour with friends on the patio at Kona on Okeechobee.
...for cocoa beans...need I say more on that one?
...for being five minutes (maybe three) from the beautiful Atlantic Ocean, which makes me feel small and insignificant, yet beautifully connected, spiritually.
...for Banana Cream Cheesecake at The Cheesecake Factory.
...for Natura Bisse.
...for bargains at Dollar Tree and Tuesday Morning.

I'll join you in giving thanks for everything on your list (not sure about the Natura Bisse -- is that a French dog breed?). And to borrow from another great music group, Blood, Sweat and Tears: "You make me so very happy -- I'm so glad you came into my life."

Ha, ha...um, yeah...it's on purpose that you don't know about Natura Bisse, but if you look around you will find it tossed in with other lotions and potions in my make-up area...oh, yeah...you don't NEED to know that I've been buying these products for YEARS...ha, ha, ha. Oh, don't even think about Googling it, what you don't know won't hurt your wallet...

Good Morning Diva.
It's cool and windy here this morning. Suppose to be cool on Thursday but I don't think it's gonna rain (this is Texas, so, who knows).
So far all grocery shopping is done at our dog house, I think.
Our 'Thankful List'...
-for our family who means so much to us
-for food on our table when some have none
-for the strength to do what we can
-for treats I can't have
-for our free country
-for the compassion to put up with stupid humans
-for good health (ever though Daddy's is bad)
-for the happiness and cheer we find in almost everything
-most of all for my dainty paws fitting on the keyboard...
Oh yeah, Daddy is gonna have surgery on his legs 12-04-09. Maybe he'll be able to play chase again.
It's breakfee time. I hear Mommy rattlin' my bowl. Better go check it out.
Have a great day and keep on being the Diva.
High paws and nubbin' wags to ya.
Boston-Bitsy
