Hope you mutts and pups enjoy your, dare I say it...hot dogs and burgers and what-have-you, over this long weekend. 'Round our doghouse it is a Labor Day tradition to watch that classic film, Picnic. Yeah, we don't GO on one, we simply get some snacks, prop up the old paws and watch, William Holden and Kim Novak flirting and doing that most romantic dance ever captured on film. Ah, Moonglow. But, let's not forget about the rest of the cast...incredible. Some things never get old...simply "classic".

Happy Labor Day to the Diva.
Hot dogs and burgers on the last official summer holiday is a must. Except at our kennel. It's brisket, stuffed jalapeno peppers, corn on the cob (all cooked on the smoker) and my Daddy's world famous potato salad. Have you ever eaten corn on the cob? You should try it. It is so much fun chewing that corn. Mommy holds the cob and I do some serious chewing.
Gaz's snap is absolutely amazing. That is the most beautiful scene my round eyes have ever beheld (did I just say beheld?). Do you get to see this kinda stuff everyday? Awesome.

Have a great holiday. Don't eat to much. I won't because my dog doc put me on a diet. I'm 6 lbs. overweight. NO MORE TREATS!!! I can only have my kibble and my Good Bites for hip and joint. YUCK!!

Bitsy, I have never had corn-on-the-cob, but we have really good friends who had a pot bellied pig for YEARS and she ate corn on the cob all the time. It wasn't cooked, just the hard-crunchy kind you buy especially for pet pigs.
Moonpie (that was her name) lived the good life, but went on to that glorious pig pen in the sky a few months ago. They still miss her...she was like a dog...just a sweet pet.
Our Labor Day weekend was fun, but we also got a lot accomplished. There is always some dumb project going on 'round our doghouse!!!
