MIAMI MANIA, EPISODE FOUR-THE FINALE
Woof, Kids! There is much to catch up on around The Palm Beaches and the Diva-Dog's, Condo Capers. So, stay with me this week. You know what I'm talking 'bout, just regular bitching about all things that gripe us. Routine, but fun to dish about, huh?
However, let us continue the Miami Mania, saga...come on and head on down to Miami with them...read on:
Episode Four - Miami Mania - The Finale
Narrated By: The Diva-Dog...who else?
Starring: Brandon and Moolie...still them!
Opening Scene: Brandon and Moolie arrived at PF Chang in the Brickell Avenue, shopping and restaurant zone of downtown Miami, having departed the real estate condo zone.
It was time to relax, cool off more and have a nice, quiet, late lunch. This is what they did, even though that partik restaurant is always quite noisy. Naturally, they were seated near the kitchen and directly along the pathway used by the servers, skittering hither and yon. Under normal circumstances, The Mool, would have red-flagged this table with a big...DECLINE. She knows a good table from bad, mostly. But, these were not normal circumstances, and they accepted the crappy table...they just wanted something to drink and FOOD. The Diva can relate to the food part, for sure.
Unfortunately, the arrival of the food kept the spirit of the day going. Ugh, was not spectacular and, typically, PF is a-okay. Although, if I may interject something trivial, Pei Wei, for the money, is better. Same folks do both. Just sayin'.
Even with the crappy food and crappy table at PF, the day-trippers were getting happier with all things Miami. It was time to just lolly-gag and discover and explore the area and they did. It was post lunch coffee (at that Starby's I mentioned a few blogs back...the one that didn't exist according to dizzy-lady-on-the-street), organic gelato, which sounds healthy, but tasted decadent and divine. They had just loads and loads of time to dally and still make the necessary train connections back to The Palm Beaches and scheduled meet-up with Gaz at train station. Loads. Scads.
Ahead of me yet?
You hounds ever seen a certain classic movie called, The Out-of-Towners? Not the newer, dumber one with Goldie Hawn. No, the good one with Jack Lemmon and Sandy Dennis. There is a scene in the film where the characters rush to hop on a train to make a, much-needed, connection from Boston to New York. They think they have made it, huffing and puffing they jumped aboard, only to see the train they should have boarded pulling away from the station. They stand on the empty one and watch, helplessly.
Uh-huh, Brandon and Moolie missed the Tri-Rail connection, by an inch, and had to sit on a bench in a non-breezy station for an hour for the next one. Yep, their derailed day continued right on track, so to speak.
If this were the screenplay Moolie is writing, the music here would be something like the opening soundtrack for, Love Actually. Remember that music? Hold that in your head and read on.
Scene...Moolie and Brandon catch the next train, endure and enjoy a mixture of nice and odd characters as the car clicks along the tracks back to WPB. The swaying motion is hypnotic and soothing. They exhale, gaze out the window and enjoy sitting quietly, reflecting on the adventures and misadventures of the day.
Sometime late, the Tri-Rail pulls into the busy WPB station where Gaz and I, the Diva-Dog, await our weary travelers, wagging our tails (well, the Diva-Dog wags).
Music Continues....
Closing Scene - Gaz, Moolie and Brandon share dinner, al fresco, and toast the new digs in Miami. Yep, Brandon took the condo on the eleventh floor with the fabulous view of the city. See, that is it, the building in the photo above. It was all worth it.
Oh, the other photo? Yeah, the one at the bottom of the page. B, looking happy and probably wondering if his first year of law school could really be any more difficult than dragging Moolie around with him, all over Miami, to secure these digs.

Fade To Black...
Wait...Bark at me!
Note The Cute Cleft In His Chin!

That picture of the building sure did turn out well.

Hey Diva. Well, I, for one, am not ready for the finale of this saga. It has been so exciting. I know Moolie and B are glad the adventure is over and B found the perfect Miami digs.
Of course, the eating place venture had to be bad. It just went along with the rest of the trials of the day.
Once again, Gaz and Diva Reg saves the end of the day. Tail wags always makes things better. Hugs and kisses from Gaz doesn't hurt none, either.
No word from rj is a good word. I sure hope he doesn't get a commission from the digs deal.
I'm waiting for the next adventure to begin. With the Diva, there is always an adventure.
High paws and nubbin' wags (also, good luck to

Sounds like you & Brandon really had quite the adventure touring Miami! It mirrored some of my NYC experiences. I have gotten a bit "turned around" (not lost of course) when I come up from the subway onto the city streets of Manhattan

The results were good, so it was worth all of it. Plus, we turned it into a good time. I really think they will like their new place and by the time he returned to Dallas, Brandon had really learned a lot about the city and how to get around. He's a quick-study...not sure where THAT came from, ha!!!!
But, you? To be "turned around" in "the city"...now, that's the best. Been there and done it.
Hey, been to Magnolia yet? Send me one when you do.
