WEST PALM BEACH HOME AND OUT-OF-BODY SPA NIGHT

Woof, Kids!

Mutts, there we sit, looking so very serene and collected in the gentle breeze...on that bench...on that cool street, Flagler. Aren't we just the dawgs-paws? Well, the Diva looks like she's wishing to be elsewhere, AND she looks a little bored or ready to jump down and get her sniff on. Um, Moolie could do better than that crummy, windswept ponytail, so, maybe NOT so much.

Kids, last night it was quite the different scene 'round our dog-den and not what you would call serene. Oh, Gaz? Not a part of this saga. He's off the hook, this time. Nah, this one is all Moolie, as she decided to make an ordinary Monday night, "home spa time".

You hounds know what I'm talking about. Yep, hair treatments, facial treatments...the whole scene. There were towels and lotions and potions scattered and splattered all OV-AH.

I, ever the loyal companion, watched the antics, patiently. Yes, there she was in the middle of deep conditioning when (and please pardon my frankness) nature called and the Diva had to go outside and do her biz. Sorry.

To say that my simple action of strolling over to and standing by the door threw Moolie into a tizzy (you know about those), is a total understatement. However, if there is one thing about my Mool, she is considerate of my needs and hops to it to get me outside, pronto. Even while under duress.

So, sitting patiently...well, not really, I trotted around after her as she quickly did some stuff to her hair and face and donned some "going outside clothes". I did catch her muttering something about not seeing people on the elevator, having an out-of-body experience and stuff like that, but I just ignored her as I knew anyone we came upon would be looking at and admiring the Diva, not her. Please.

As soon as she was thrown together (IF you want to call it that), we made a dash for the elevator on the tenth floor...coast was clear...no one in the hallway...no one in elevator...security in the garage were so busy talking on their cell phone that was no prob. Excellent. Under the cover of darkness and the rich glow of the quaint street lamps, we rushed to this crummy grassy area on Lakeview where I took my time sniffing and such. What's the hurry at this point?

Finally, I did my thing and we were ready to fly. Wait, we had to linger a few minutes and act busy as some random people walking nearby had to be avoided. Once these lovely folks, finally, hauled it on by, we were on our way back inside. Frankly, Moolie did look a fright, but I'm not judging...okay, I am.

Now, we got back to the elevator doors and I knew Moolie was relieved, so far, so good.

Here's the best part, I'm telling you, the very best part. The elevator (usually empty) arrived, the doors open with a swoosh and four or five people glide right on out...dressed, elegantly, in after-five clothes. I mean these la-de-da pups were all dolled-up to the max and I mean the complete max.

Kids, what makes this so hilarious is that West Palm, well, this entire state, is pretty casual to the max. So, to have these partik peeps step off the elevator into the face of, well, this wild-haired woman in crummy clothes and no make-up was the perfect storm. Oddly, this time, they didn't just look at the Diva. Hm. Do you have any idea how hard it is to pretend you don't know someone when they are holding your leash? Not too easy, but I tried my best.

There you have it. Spa night turned into Fright-Night for The Mool. Well, at least her pores looks fab!

Bark at me, or howl, if you wish! I know I am.

Hey Diva. It sounds as if you had a Frightful Monday. I know all about the spa-night except at my digs, it's the morning time for the hair, face, etc. As a matter of fact, this morning was the morning. Mommy even cut her own hair. I hope she steers clear of the Bitster. My sleek and shiny fur is too short to cut but you never know, when she is wielding those shears.

It never fails, when you look your worst, everyone else looks their best. Just ask Mommy, she knows. As for me, I always look my bestest. As a matter of fact, so do you.

You and Moolie look so cool in the photo. How else could you two look but cool.

Here's hoping spa-night is a long way off, at least for now.

High paws and a "I'm sorry howl" to you. Bitsy

      Good morning, Bitsy,

Yeah, it was pretty crazy, but that is sort of the norm 'round these parts. Super funny, but normal for us.

You know, we were cool, literally, in that snap on Flagler. The breeze coming off the water was lovely.

Well, here's hoping you won't get a summer, ever buzzier cut!  I never know what to expect around here, so I could pop up with...who knows what kind of fur-do.

Keep on howling...I know I sure do!!!

      Wag-o-the-tail to ya!

I can only imagine the Mool's face as The Diva went and sat by the door! I have no doubt that even in her spa day attire that Mool was looking fab...I mean she does have to keep up with The Diva!

Ha, ha, ha....spoken like the true and loyal friend that you have been and are!! Nah, believe me, it was a hoot. Kind of like that photo of my feet stuffed into those crazy socks, stuffed into those crazy shoes. Remember that one? A certain BeeGee sent that one round the email chain for weeks!!! Another snap, taken by Gaz, while we were on vacy in the Yellowstone/Grand Teton area. Well, my look last night...something along those lines))))))))

Hey Diva. I forgot something yesterday, Monday was my spa-day. And let me tell you, it was not a good thing. Not only did I get a bath (which I absolutely love) but I got the flea/tick treatment. I know it's good for me but I hate it. It tickles and I can't get stroked (I love having my slick fur stroked) for a bazillion hours.

I don't know if Mommy gets the flea jazz when she does her hair thing but she should. As she tells me, "It's for your own good".

    Have a beautiful Wednesday.

High paws and flealess nubbin' wags to you. Bitsy

      Bitsy,

      Hey!

Spa day is coming for me, but I just had my Advantage-Multi treatment the other day. Yuk, but it works and I get some awesome treats after. Yeah, they feel super guilty and stuff. Pretty cool.

Well, I am sure you will get mucho cuddling to make up for this and that is a good thing.

      Fluff-o-the-tail, Bitsy!!
