FAT CATS AND GOODWILL IN THE PALM BEACHES

I Want My Food...And A Nap...And A Tummy Rub

Woof, Kids!

The Diva-Dog just had to share this photo of the COOLEST, and fattest, Cat I know, Crookshanks. Of course, you don't typically catch some crazy feline hanging 'round this site, but this snap from B (you pups know who B is, right?)  just had to be shared. I wonder what that zany kitty was thinking as B was snapping?

Crooks (you may know I call him that), is a cuddly, yet cunning, furball from Texas. However, that kid is about to make the trek and set up his "Cat House" (you bad people...I'm talking 'bout a residence for Crooks and Kaeda, okay?) to the Sunshine State. Yep, he will soon be cooling his paws in Miami. I feel kind of sorry for him, yeah, I do. See, he is now and has been for several years, the baddest cat (in a good way, you understand) in his neighborhood. Well, I'm not worried about that Tabby. No way. He's cool and he will be even cooler in Florida, in a hot kind of way.

Listen, Moolie has been trying to find a Goodwill or some kind of charity type place 'round these parts and it has NOT been easy.  Can you believe that?  Man, all we want to do is donate loads and loads of clothes ripped from her closet. It's been chaos in the bedroom. Kids, I just eased my fluffy self into my comfy Bow-Wow bed and tried to dodge flying clothes. I am telling you she is maniac when it comes to closet cleaning. Well, mostly she loathes it and thinks it is pretty mind numbing, but she does like to pass along things not being used. Finding a place to donate in West Palm has been a challenge.

Well,  the stacks of clothes have been waiting patiently to be delivered to the Goodwill or something  and we were finally able to locate one (to be honest, we finally stopped trying to Google a place and zipped downstairs and asked the, all-knowing, Concierge). Smart, aren't we? Uh-huh.

So, are you ready to hear where the closest Goodwill is located? You sure?  Really sure? Okay...here it comes...it's on Palm Beach...I mean, The Island. If you want to be like a savvy local...you gotta call PB...The Island. So, that la-de-da little patch-o-sand has...GOODWILL. Man, we just had to ask twice to make certain. Good thing Moolie's glad rags have some acceptable tags on 'em. Listen, you can NOT be sashaying yourself OV-AH to that partik sandbar with junk from Target. Please.

I will let you know how it goes when we embark on this little donation journey across the Intra-Coastal. Will they take our stuff? Will they even let us in the door? If they do let Moolie through the threshold, will they let the Diva-Dog come along inside? If they do let the Diva-Dog come along inside, must I wear my diamond tiara and collar? Stay turned.

Bark at me!

Hey Diva. That is some ball of fur, that Crookshanks. Is the feline and vicious as it looks? Actually, Mommy likes felines and would love to give him/her a belly rub (she gives great belly rubs). The original Fat Cat (Garfield) has just been dethroned and I bow to the new Fat Cat.

Mommy gives all of her closet cleanings to Arlington Mission. I steer clear of the bedroom when she starts her madness. So does Daddy, even when she is doing his closet. Just as long as she stays away from my snuggy blanky, I'm okay with the cleaning out thing.

Well, there are furry tails in MY backyard, so, I must be off to do what I do best.

Hang in there, Diva. The cleaning-out doesn't last forever (but it seems like it).

High paws and nubbin' wags to you.

      Bitsy,

      Yep, he is SOME cat.

Mission Arlington is a fab place for donations, they do some pretty wonderful things for people. Next time you are there, say a big hello from Moolie (well, prolly a good idea to use her formal moniker) to Tillie. Hope you know Tillie. She pretty much runs the place and Moolie worked with her, a lot when she was staff at The Dallas Morning News. Anyhoo, Tillie is a sweetheart and we just adore her. Oh, see if she still drives that flashy and sassy little red sports car.

Yeah, good idea to stay out of the way when any type of cleaning is being done. Heck, I wouldn't put it past Moolie to use my fluffy self for a dust mop or sumpin'.

Barks and tail wags comin' at ya.
