TUBBY TURTLES AND LIZARDS ON THE LIFT

Guarding An Area Of The Pool Deck For Outlaw Lizards
Woof, Kids!
Can you believe...here we are at Memorial Day Weekend? Our first order of the blog is to send a big Diva-Dog salute to our brave veterans and soldiers. We salute you!
Hounds, you remember my best-buds in Texas...Cal, Duke and Dixie, right? Well, got the word from one of their peeps that they had some MAY-JAH excitement 'round their dog-den (or super fabulous and perfect home in the country, whichever you want to call it) with a gigantic snapping turtle. I have been in the company of a snapping turtle and it's not a funny scene. Believe me. Well, Sabrina and Trapper (the dog peeps), handled the situation like the troopers they truly are, but you should check out their blog and get all the deets...Blog de Barnes, http://www.trapperandsabrina.blogspot.com/. Oh, just make sure you haul it on back to THIS blog, 'kay?
Kids, while we are on the topic of outdoor creatures, I have become increasingly curious about some lizards hangin' out and creepin' around the Pool Deck area of our building. You know it is located on the 22nd floor, which is where I go and strut my stuff, so to speak. Well, I ask you, just how the heck did they get ALL the way up there? Hm? Could it be they are some form of amazing flying lizards? Did they all get together in a group and creep on up the outside of the building? If so, just how long would THAT take? If they didn't use either of those modes of lizard-transport, here is the really BIG, and pressing, question...did they take the proper PET ELEVATOR? Seriously, mutts and pups, I would hate to have to rat 'em out to the old management office 'round here if they didn't, but rules are rules! After all, if we hounds have to use a most specific lift, those lizzie-kids can do the same. Nah, I'm no whistle-blower. No way. I'm on the side of the anti-rules rebels. Actually, I'd pay cash or hand over special treats to see those kids in action...awesome elevator riding lizards in Florida. I see a movie script coming.
Got to go, you know how I adore rompin' and stompin' with lizards!!
Cheers and here's to Memorial Day...let's remember that it isn't simply a three day weekend.
Bark at me!

Diva is on the case of the Great Pool Deck Lizard Mystery.

You know, you are sucking all the dramz right on outta my Lizz-Tale. Please. Landscaping is the best you can do? So, I guess it boils down to them hitchin' a ride in the pots of palms and junk like that, huh? Boring and a half.
If you are gonna comment here....get your game on!!!!!

Hey Diva. Memorial Day weekend...Some humans think it is a weekend to get loop-legged. My Daddy is a veteran, so, we celebrate the correct way w/hot dogs, grilled corn on the cob (I can eat the corn off that cob) ad stuffed grilled jalapenos. Yummy, I can hardly wait. Mommy, as well as Daddy, is a flag waver, so, she has our flag waving high in the front yard. I even got to go out front to see it. Beautiful..
We have gecko lizards. I am with you on the lizard watch. I went in to get a drink of water one morning and low and behold, there was a gecko munchin' on a piece of stray kibble. Of course, he ran away but I sure scared some time off his life.
On the wood pile, there is a whole family of lizards. I know how they got up there. But on the 22nd floor of a condo???
Keep on waving the flag, chasing lizards and looking so-o-o-o cute.
High paws and nubbin' wags to y'all.
Oh yeah. Watch out for the tubby turtles. Once they bite, they don't let go.

Hey Diva. Well, the long weekend is over. We went to visit Nana's sister in Oklahoma, again. She and Nana always put flowers on ALL the kinfolk graves every Memorial Day. Auntie Jesse doesn't walk very well, so, Mommy helped Nana this year. We stayed 2 nights and 3 days. We went to put flags and flowers out at Nana Pat, Granddad D. and Granddad Harold also on our way home. Mommy and Daddy cried. But I licked their tears away, so, they were alright. I know how to make them smile.
I hope your weekend wasn't too wild and crazy...Hey, wait a sec, you and Moolie and Gaz are wild and crazy!
Well, have a good Monday, I mean Tuesday (long weekends make me goofy).
High paws and nubbin' wags to you all.

Hey Diva - I just wanted to let you know that your Loveable Lab's down in TX wish you well! Duke would like to pass along the info that he did indeed get into a direct conflict with a smaller snapping turtle this morning. All of that barking, jumping, and snapping of his pearly whites must have stunned the turtle because thankfully he did not get snapped by said reptile. Of course Cal and Dixie were way too cool to be bothered by something so irrelevant to them...I guess in all of their dog years they have seen many more turtles than Duke. Us doggy peeps did rid the yard of the pesky little reptile by placing it back into the creek so that Duke's neck hair can now return to it's normal, non-mohawk state. Thanks for the shout out on the blog...and don't you worry...you are much more interesting and definitely way more diligent on updates...so your blog will ALWAYS be number one!
