MARCH SHOWERS WEST PALM BEACH
Woof, Kids!
I bring you the blog today with dripping wet paws. Yep, still misting and cloudy here in The Palm Beaches.
Kinda breaks the "spring" in your step, huh?
What sad news about the lovely and talented Natasha Richardson. It is so very tragic. Just unthinkable.
Our heart and prayers, truly, go out to her family and friends. God bless and keep them.
As a huge movie-buff, this makes me recall an old movie with her mom, Vanessa Redgrave, called, Camelot. It's one of those films that had an intermission and all that old-timey stuff.
So, the first half of the movie is bouncy, fun and frivolous. Just makes you want to smile. The second half turns dark and sad. Very.
Mostly, I mention the movie to recall the best scene, for me anyway. Picture a snowy, dreamy and magical forest...all glittery and lighted-up. Through the snow you see a travel party with horses and a carriage...enter...Guinevere...future bride to King Arthur of Camelot. Vanessa Redgrave, our Guinevere, is absolutely gorgeous in this scene and she has the greatest dogs by her side. Her face is framed in some sort of white furry thing and it's beautiful.
Memorable also? This is when the future Queen meets her King, in the forest. Oh, the King? Richard Harris. Just think of the first Dumbledore...young and handsome. Yep.
It's just beautiful.
So, when I think of this family, at this crushing time...I think of Vanessa and her beauty in Camelot and her beautiful daughter, Natasha, and it is just so sad.

Hey Diva. This is a sad day indeed. We also mourn for Natasha Richardson.
My Mommy watches Camelot all the time. The scene you described is on of her favorites. Imagine Dumbledor sitting is a tree in the snow singing . And Vannessa Redgrave is beautiful, just as her daughter. Natasha's father had a great speaking voice.
Our heart goes out to Liam Neeson and their children.
Do you have a rain coat for your walks? I hope so. Stay dry and fluffy.
I leave you with bowed head on my paws. Bitsy

Yes, we feel so very sad for all the family, but especially her husband children. Just too young to be gone. Heartbreaking.
We now only watch Disc One of Camelot. The second part is just too hard to watch. Franco Nero has the most gorgeous eyes, ever, in that film.
Nah, I don't have a raincoat OR galoshes for my paws. I just jump in Moolie's lap to dry myself...it's pretty fun.

Diva,
I'm so sorry to hear it's still rainy and misty. The Murph feels your pain. Last weekend he stared out the window wishing he could play outside as the rain poured down in NC.
I am also thinking of Natasha's family and friends and am so saddened. What a gorgeous woman she was and so young. Ah, I just hate to think about it.
Well, hope it clears up soon - in time for the weekend!
Miss and love ya,
Gretch (and The Murph)

Gretch and Murph...actually, we don't mind the rain. It's kind of nice and we are just trying to stay all cozy. It does get the feet all wet and it hinders all things sniff. Now, if it goes on and on and on...different story. The best part is looking at the palm trees and the ocean in the rain. Nice.
I hope you guys have a most excellent weekend there in NC.
Love and miss YOU!!

Hey Gretch and Murph. This is Bitsy the Boston Terrier from Arlington, Texas. I just want to tell that hunky Murphy, Hey from an admiring fan.
Just don't tell the Diva. I don't want to ruffle her tail feathers (I mean fur). I know the Diva misses the Murph. High paws from Texas to North Carolina.
