BORN TO RUN WILD IN THE PALM BEACHES

Woof, Kids!

Whew...as you can see, being on the prowl for MAY-JAH gossip is exhausting. The Diva Dog had to cool the pads of my paws before putting them to keyboard. Yep, my two humans (or IN-HUMANS) snapped on my leash with a fierce click Saturday morning, and pranced me right on outta my condo cocoon and over that ever-lovin' drawbridge to...PALM BEACH. You know that little patch of real estate, just slightly to the East of West Palm Beach? Yeah, that one. Where you can't swing a dead cat without it hitting some Rolls. Uh-huh.

Saturday on Palm Beach...ah...yachts, hot-shops and dog-tots. It's just beyond fab.

HIGHLIGHTS ONLY, 'cause I'm still yearning for my lost hour...

  • First stop...Gaz, The Mool and I were just hangin' at some banyaned (that's the shade of a banyan tree, in case you need further deets) park, gazing at nothing but yachts, yachts, yachts. Made me think of Osgood Fielding. I'm not telling you who he is, if you don't know. Oh, yeah...yachts and some random mutts prancing and prissing all 'round.

Anyway...I was, desperately, trying to get my sniff on (you know how I love that), when a couple of mutts amble on OV-AH and their human starts up with the chat, chat, chat. Heck, the hounds were pretty nice, so I can't even rag on 'em. BUT, their leash-holder (well one was off-leash, but I'll just let that go this time) starts yapping about his Palm Beach neighbor being this huge Cavi lovin' kid. Droned on about how this guy REALLY, REALLY loves 'em...to the tune of owning twenty, all at the same time. Oh, it was noted that when the "house-man" walked these lovable pups, it looked like the zoo on parade. My thought here? If you're gonna own twenty of ANY sort of canine...get out there with a leash-in-hand once in a blue moon, 'kay? Sidenote...this guy threw in some comment about twenty dogs being over city code, blah, blah, blah. I'm thinking that anything over TWO is overload...city code or no city code...not to mention that when some guy or gal owns TWENTY dogs, cats or canaries, there is a much larger situation at work here. Wouldn't you agree?

  • Departed the park, the yachts and chat-boy and the three of us walked the pads off our feet doing all things Palm Beach. Kids, the weather was perfection, the shops fun and classy (natch), and the streets were filled with zippy peeps and their mutts. Oh, some of the shops provided water in snazzy bowls, but I only drink my own...still, nice thought though and appreciated.

Kids, the economy is sucking wind, gasping for air...the news is negative, negative, negative...but, may I state...when you are strolling the fab streets of Palm Beach...all that junk simply melts away, you take in the beauty and are grateful for all the good things and the ability to find a retreat...even a small one. Plus it's super comforting to hear that someone still has a "house-man"...just 'zactly what that MEANS can remain a mystery.

BTW, your MIND escapes...your PAWS...definitely NOT SO MUCH. It's HARD walking that much when you're a Diva or even the leash-holder of a Diva.

Bark at me!!

Listen, Teddy, I think those bike-riders are pretty smart given the state of all things economy.

You know, it is fun here and we are meeting some friendly types, both kinds...two-legs...four-legs...how-ever-many-legs.

You guys should just pop on in that Mini-C and shuttle on ovah and down and have a little visit.

Gotta go and plot my plan for chasing all things la-de-dah.

Stay cool and keep barkin' at me, you crazy kid!!!

Will the Diva be appearing in the Worth Ave. dog parade this week? Next year you will have a Blenheim neighbor in # 1910. He is a 13 yr. old male from Philadelphia, who is spending this winter with his Aunt in Massachusetts. His parents just had to check out apartment living first-to see if it was really dog friendly. Next year you can watch RR's together!!!!

Hey...thanks for reading and commenting. No, the Diva will NOT be appearing. Darn it, the peeps totally let her down on this one.  Exciting news on the new kid Blenheim. Cavi's rock it, and with a few little "challenges" here and there...WPB condo living is fab. Condo Caper Gossip is just going to get better and better, huh? Look forward to hearing from you again, so keep barking at me.
