Woof, Kids!

So, it's been a little over a month since we pitched our tent and doghouse in West Palm Beach and I thought I'd send you a little score card of "first impressions"...you know a snapshot, if you will, from the perspective of a Diva-Dog. It's all about viewing it all through my small, yet quite expressive, eyes. Trust, this will change and I will keep you "begging for all the dirty-deets" as we continue to peek at all things WPB.

DIVA, THROUGH THE LOOKING-GLASS, SCORING WEST PALM BEACH...

• West Palm Beach has the Atlantic Ocean really, really close and it is a gorgeous aquamarine.
• West Palm Beach is very, very lovely in January and February...especially when you have lived in a COLD weather state.
• West Palm Beach has crazy drivers and they like to honk even more than drivers in Big D, and we didn't think that was possible.
• West Palm Beach has people from everywhere, EXCEPT West Palm Beach.
• West Palm Beach restaurant, Rocco's, provided the worst possible service and server, but the best guacamole. We believe we will take our money elsewhere.
• West Palm Beach restaurant, Top of the Point, provided the best view, service, server and food. We are good with all that.
• West Palm Beach has some really, really nice people.
• West Palm Beach has some really, really rude-asses.
• West Palm Beach does NOT have Pei Wei (16 miles away) and we miss it, a lot. It's one "fast food" joint that you can enjoy.
• West Palm Beach does NOT have DSW (24 miles away) and Moolie misses it, A LOT.
• West Palm Beach and this building has a crazy trash chute that is so sophisticated that you press a button for this kind of rubbish and that kind of rubbish...oh, yeah, fancy...oh, yeah, it doesn't really work all that well.
• West Palm Beach and this building have a pretty nice lady in the lobby during the day who, almost always, makes a fuss over this Diva.
• West Palm Beach and this building have a not so friendly lady in the lobby during the day. Um, life is too short to worry about ree-dik snobs...so, we don't.
• West Palm Beach and this building have efficient and really nice valet guys, if you are too lazy to park yourself.
• West Palm Beach drivers don't turn left on red...on a one-way street...onto a one-way street and we need to know why.
• West Palm Beach and this building have nice security on duty 24/7. They wave, help you out and are friendly, thus far.
• West Palm Beach is patrolled by police who are behind every nook-and-cranny (btw, what is a nook and cranny?).
• West Palm Beach does NOT seem to realize that dogs and their owners aren't .going away and they should STOP ignoring this factoid and arrange for POO CONTAINERS in parks and along major dog-walking avenues (bags, we can handle on our own).
• West Palm Beach and bridges take you to Palm Beach where they don't know un-rich people exist, much less dogs needing poo containers.  Um, perhaps in this partik economy...they do. Wait, I saw some of them buying crap at Target, just the other night, M'kay. Let's keep it real.
• West Palm Beach and bridges take you to Palm Beach where you can walk on the beach and gawk at mansions, and not-so-much-mansions and it's truly peaceful and lovely.
• West Palm Beach and this building have the most BEAUTIFUL view you can imagine.

West Palm Beach is pretty fun and we are having a good time!!!!
