DOG-FRIENDLY, NOT FAUX-FRIENDLY
Woof, Kids!
Here I am at the Tropical Winds...a truly dog friendly beach resort experience on Sanibel Island.
When I say dog friendly, I mean it. Don't you just despise it when a place says dog friendly, but it's faux-friendly. I mean the speak is there, but actions aren't so much.
It's so easy to SAY "dog-friendly" isn't it? You know, you can tell when a person, place or thing is definitely NOT dog friendly. Oh, yeah...it is evident. Gaz and Moolie talk this topic sometimes and how they can tell when people...here and there...I won't be all that specific...turn their snobby noses up at us canines and the owners.
Aw, we don't care or worry about that type of thing and pretty much feel sorry for those types...I think all dogs know that if you put your nose too far up in the air...you trip over your paws and fall down. Hm, does that apply to two-legged types too? Let me know what you think.
At any rate, no snobs did we find during our great time on Sanibel. Just REAL folks. So refreshing.
Hey, Reggie. Well, at least you got to go with your peeps. Mine went to Oklahoma and left me with a sitter. Uncle Tom is the best sitter in the world. He feeds me, plays with me and even stays in the backyard while I'm doing my business. He doesn't like me to be lonely. My mommy wanted to take me with them but the 92 year old aunt lives in a house with a bazillion other blue haired aunts. It's really kinda scarry there. Even my mommy and daddy don't stay long. They go gambling, whatever that is, and stay in a hotel. Their hotel is critter friendly also. Maybe next time I'll get to go. Enjoy your weekend. You are truly a great Diva. The Bitster
