IT'S A HORSE, ITS A FACE...ITS A KANGAROO, BLESS 'EM

I Am On To You And Your Little Fur Image Game!

Woof, Kids!

  • Did you notice the pix from yesterday?  Yeah, the one of me jumping in the air for the ball. If not, here's one for today, but I'm not making your little game so easy. Ha! Well, I've heard through the grapevine, that the pattern in my luscious coat resembles a...kangaroo. You heard me. Evidently, if you look very carefully at that Blenheim red and white you will see that partik image. But wait, there's more. The images of a face and a horse have also been identified. What about that? Next thing that will happen is Gaz and Moolie connecting the spots on my back. You just never know what they will do. I don't know, when I fluff and strut in front of my vanity I just see my face and mysterious eyes. I must get a better mirror. Tell me what you see, and, please don't mention that I have spots on my tummy, 'kay?

  • Speaking of horses and kangaroos (even if only their image in my fur), did you know that the blessing of pets happens the first Sunday in October each year? You name the pet or creature and they get blessed. Some find this custom, which is conducted in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi’s love for all creatures, a bit unusual.  It is pretty amazing to see the humans and their friendly, mostly, beasts coming together with others in this unique ceremony. I think it is amazing. Now, I did not personally receive a blessing, but all sorts of pets certainly did. Gee, I'm going to keep my nose pressed to the ground, just in case another blessing opportunity appears on the horizon.

    Thank you, St. Francis.

Hey Diva -- Gaz here. Speaking of fur, you do know the thing to do in Tampa right now is support the local baseball team, our own Tampa Bay Rays, as they head for the World Series. And fans are expressing their support by getting a Mohawk hairdoo. Would you consider sporting a Mohawk and cheer your Rays on to victory??? You could be the most stylin' canine in the condo!!
