SUNSHINE STATE, LONE STAR STATE, BUCKEYE STATE

Woof, kids!

Woo-Hoo!! Wild weekend in Diva condo-land. Now, before you get your shaggy-dog self in an tail-spin, and think about droppin' a dime to the SPCA (do you kids even know what that phrase means? should I have said drop a quarter or hit the digits on your cell?) my idea of havin' a "Wild Weekend" goes a little something like this...jumping in the air when Gaz bounces a ball, stepping out with Gaz and Moolie when they jet around town in the car (they seem to do that a lot), tearing the Sunday paper to shreds and running crazy circles 'round palm trees in the park (that's the best). You know, stuff like that. WILD.

Last weekend we hit up the "pet beach". You heard me. Pet beach. Now, what's with that?  Come on, must they be politically correct about a beach that allows dogs? Honestly, can't they simply call it what it is? DOG BEACH. Is that offensive in any way? Sorry, but I just don't think folks with cats, goldfish or canaries are rushing to roam the beaches with them. Have you ever SEEN a goldfish on a leash? A canary, maybe. Goldfish? Not so much. Although, there is a dog fish, right? Never mind that...it is okay to call it what it is, people. DOG BEACH.

You live in the Sunshine State, you gotta seek the beach, a little here and there. So, we did and I sift through the sand, dabble in the water, sit under the umbrella to eavesdrop on the peeps as they gossip (pretty dull stuff) and basically sit and look glamorous in case any dog of interest strolls by. They didn't.  So, I posted a pix of me at the beach for your perusal. Feel free to ignore those others in the photo...they add nothing. But, the Diva is looking HOT...and I mean it, literally.

Oh, yawn, that crazy Buckeye-Kid, Tasha, sent me a photo (she posted a comment too) of her in her cool yard...with a stick...ya-da, ya-da. I have to admit that she does look like THE dog of that Aviation state up there. Darn it, she IS cute and sweet looking. I would be feeling all jealous and insecure again, but I kinda like it that she had to get a bath by some random stranger. Okay, okay...just a little. Calm down already. Yes, she's sweet and I'm sorry she had to get the splash in that way. Happy now? Besides, I'm pretty sure I will let her in my pack, when I get it.  See Tash in the grass, below.

Kids, I have to tell you that after my post last week,  I got the WORD  (see comments) from that dizzy dog in Texas, Duke. Yeah, you know the one. Seems he is still "digging" me. Naturally, point the paw at his person, S. She was too busy with work and hanging out and stuff to send me a "hey" from the Lone Star dog. Too bad that he and one of his mates are getting the big snip very soon. Yes, that one. One boy version and one girl version. Been there, done it, so barks and licks to ya, guys. Oh, Duke, you will still be the HOT DAWG in my books, so stay cool. I certainly can not blame the Dukester for his lack of communication, but, you'd think that since S just got her big old MBA she could jot down a few blurbs for the Duke more often. Well, I won't hold it against her as Moolie thinks she's the Perfect Paws at her doghouse.

And your weekend?

Yes, feel free to ignore "those others" or "those people" in the photo! They appear to have been ignoring The Diva too as they seem lost in girl talk. Poor Diva.

You did look extra HOT that day!! I agree, what's with the "Pet Beach?"

Yes, Duke did get onto me about the postings...and to make up for it I promised to send a few pics along once I get back in town. Duke doesn't want his Sunshine State gal to forget about him, particularly with the other large male dogs hanging out in the building. And let me just say that Tasha looks like quite the happy gal in the photo!
