PLANES, PAWS AND AUTOMOBILES
Woof, kids!
Top 'o the Monday morning and a Wag 'o the Tail to ya. Can't you just feel my super upbeat Monday vibe? Well, it's there...maybe not super, but it is there.
Monday has such a bad rep, I think. Just when you get totally into a weekend groove, Monday hits. Ever thought how cool it would be just to skip it altogether? Go straight from Sunday to Tuesday. Then Tuesday becomes Monday, in theory, so then you have the Tuesday Blahs. Hm. Something to think about, but I don't think it will ever catch on.
Weekend brings fun around here. We went walking, walking, walking and now my dainty paws (please, no rude comments about how the feet of a Cav, are so huge, I prefer to think of them as dainty) are in need of a pedi, asap. Also, I am kind of sluggish today as the weekend was amazingly chaotic. Ugh. Chaotic, makes me think of that reality show with Britney and K-Fed. Of course, that was way before my time around the planet, but I've heard about the show. Gaz and Moolie may watch some cheesy reality stuff, but even they have standards above Brit-Brit on the tube. But, what happened to HER little dogs? Did K-Fed get custody? Maybe it would be best if we didn't even think about that. However, while we are the subject of "celeb" (I know, I know, but it's the only word I can think of here-sorry), and reality drivel, let us pause for just a moment to show respect for the passing of, Mimi La Rue. If you don't know who that is...well, there is just nothing I can say.
So, Tampa had the big Flugtag, pronounced FLOOGTOG...it's German...has to do with flying contraptions strapped to humans. Nutty, if you ask me. You don't see any canines doing it. Just sayin'.
All the activity and action centered near the condo building (as you would expect, the Diva lives near the hub of all things exciting in Tampa), so we had all sorts of craziness going on around us.
Naturally, Gaz and Moolie thought it would be fun to take me down and walk smack in the middle of Bayshore Blvd. (normally super busy and they keep me out of it) and hang around all the other dogs, cops and event folks. Man, it was way too early on a Saturday for all that. I humored them though and let them take snaps and all that biz. Yawn.
As I predicted last week...lots of dog-action all in and around the building this weekend. It was pretty fun except for that spoiled and pampered Westie. We'll just call her, Westie (got to protect the innocent and I do have to live here you know). Royal pain in my brushed and fluffy tail. This mutt has NO idea how to socialize properly. Too bad 'cause she is missing out by not hangin' with me and my posse. Do you mind if I call Gaz and Mool my posse? Have you seen them? If any two people look like what I think a posse should look like, it's them. BTW, I'm picturing posse...as in "let's get a posse together and go after the bad guys and gals". Posse, Old West, Saloons and Sasparilla (can't they just call it Root Beer already?).
We're new to Flugtag around our condo, and it was certainly different. What are people thinking when they do these things? Build a flying contraption, strap it on themselves and take a flying (mostly NOT a flying) leap off a gigantic ramp into water. It was crazy. Just glad we were watching from our balcony. Those crazy Germans.
Now, about those Germans. They may do questionable activities like the above event, but they truly do know how to make certain things that contribute to the life and comfort of a small Diva. Ah, when it is time to ratchet the entire weekend down, time to exhale and relax there is just nothing better than hopping in the car with the top off (sometimes it's on and sometimes it's off, I just never know and I don't care as long as I am in the car when it leaves the garage) and taking off for a joy-ride. Nice music, wind in the face and my posse beside me. So, thank you, Germany and all you smart German (we are discounting Flugtag here) people for sending along a car that makes my life just a little more fun. Just to show you I have no hard feelings about watching all that dumb "people trying to fly" junk, I have shared, what I think is a pretty cute pix of me, in my favorite ragtop. Yes, I know it's not really made of rags, oh, and I would appreciate it if you wouldn't make fun of my wild hair in the photo. Have you seen what Gaz and Moolie look like after a ride with the top down? Nah, I didn't think so.

I love the pic of Reggie in her ride...how nice of her to let Gaz and Moolie cruise down the streets of Tampa and accompany her!

Just wish Cal, Dixie and most especially, Duke, could join me for the fun rides. I mean the four of us would stop traffic on Bayshore, with our fur flying all over the place. Of course, I think I'm probably the only one with actual fur that flies, ha. Well, you get the picture...four amazing K9's loose on the town. It's a dog's life.
