THE ART OF BARKING, UM, BLOGGING

Woof, kids!

Wow, yesterday Gaz, Moolie and I decided to take a drive with the top down just at dusk. It was fun, but Moolie always keeps such a grip on me and secures me to the max which is a major drag and a true obstacle to my fun of hanging my head out the side of the car. Other dogs get to do it, but not me. Some people are control freaks, but I still love it as I get to perch just perfectly to look out, safely.

All I really want to do is feel the cool evening breeze in my face as we cruise along. That aside, I also need to check out the action on Bayshore Blvd., which is a hotsy-totsy dog-walking area. Bayshore is filled with skaters, bikers, walkers, you name it. It is jumpin'. Still, it was great to be in nature. And when I say nature, I mean that we made a stop at a park called, Ballast. All sorts of things go on here, but the best part is that you can watch the sunset over the skyline of Tampa. Just beautiful, even for a diva-dog to watch. Now, I did get a little distracted from all that beauty when an enormous, I mean gigantic, Great Dane and his person strolled by us. They stopped, natch, and we did some sniffing, the usual. We tried anyway, but it was somewhat difficult given the poundage differences. Imagine, this guy was bigger than my people, almost, and it was intimidating, even to a sassy girl like me. Funny part was his person kept telling him to "be small". Right, like he could if he wanted. I'm good with the bigger guys, so it went well and they went on their way. At times like this, I don't mind that Gaz and Moolie stay close...nice to know they have my back...literally.

Hey, have you noticed the blog comments? Well, there have been a few and I am so happy I have been wagging my tail like crazy. As a matter of fact, some of the other mutts around this condo building have seemed pretty jealous because they don't have a blog.

Now, for those of you new to blogging, don't be intimidated, just jump in with all four-feet...um, two-feet and let's shake it up around here.

So, here are the steps to contributing to the blog and please, please do so. The more we have to share, the better, right? Remember, you can't mess it up, and we really want to hear from you. Don't worry about grammar or punctuation...we really don't care about that. We are not your teacher or the judge of all things language-arts. The Art of Blogging goes a little something like this:
  • On the home page, click on Reggie's Blog or anywhere you see the URL www.cavalierkingcharlesdiva.com.
  • Once on the blog page, newest blogs are first, so scroll down to read prior posts.
  • To add a comment, simply click on comment after any blog and follow the prompts. In order to keep the blog friendly (no dog fights, please, I do approve all comments. This could change at some future date. Sorry it does take just a little longer this way, but Moolie insisted, for now. You understand, I'm sure.
  • It is fun if you read the comments of others and reply to them with your own stories or thoughts. That is what blogging is really about...engaging in a fun repartee.
  • Photos are welcome and encouraged. Presently, photos should be emailed to pam@pambarkerbusiness.com for sizing. So send one, and look for it...it will be posted.
So, that about sums up the "Art of Blogging" here with the condo diva.

Looking forward to hearing from you and seeing all those great photos.

Gotta scoot, I hear Moolie in the kitchen. Yum.

Ok, I have to fess up. That Great Dane was just a tad intimitading. Any dog bigger than our car gets your attention, you know what I mean? Reg didn't seem to mind -- just walked right up and went nose to nose. I stood behind Moolie and kept a close eye out, in case we needed to make a hasty exit I was ready to be pack leader!

I was a little nervous just hearing about it! Ever since hearing about Jon's experience with a Great Dane, I'm scared to death of them. Reg, you're tough and I admire you fearlessness! BTW, Moolie, is Ballast the park we tried to go to that was closed?

Yep. One and the same. Um, you failed to mention that "friendly" guy we saw when I was making my turn..you remember, I tried to clip him. Don't know why he gave such a look.
